From city-slicking corporate creative to country mom, Crystal Pretula founded Prairie Chick Prints during one of many sleepless nights with little babes.
Born and raised on the family farm in Alberta, she was gifted with her dad’s sense of humour and mom’s love of pretty things. Since starting with greeting cards, Prairie Chick Prints now develops a wide range of home goods, stationery, accessories and apparel. Life with self-proclaimed hot-stuff hubby, three busy kids and the cutest puppy is where Crystal gets much inspiration.
Crystal has had a lot of fun along the way, including being featured twice in the Edmonton Made Gifted catalogue, winning the Women of Inspiration SupportHER™ Award and being featured in the award-winning book Women Driving Change. Most recently, she was nominated for an Alberta Women Entrepreneurs Award! Almost nine years later, you can now find Prairie Chick stationery and gifts in over 300 locations across the world!
Prairie Chick Prints strive to keep all products as close to home in Alberta as possible! The majority of their products are printed and manufactured locally, allowing for small batches and flexibility in design and creativity. This keeps the brand fresh, new and relevant.
